The Construction State Control Bureau
The Construction State Control Bureau started its operation on October 1, 2014 with the objective to assure quality and safety in construction industry in accordance with the competence prescribed in regulatory enactments.
The Bureau is a state authority under the supervision of the Ministry of Economics the priorities of which are perform state control of construction works and maintenance supervision of buildings, organize appraisals of structural design and inspection of buildings, grant the rights of practice individual practice to construction specialists, as well as execute supervision of individual practices in the specialty of construction expertise.
Further, the Bureau deals with applications and complaints regarding serious violations against regulatory enactments in the construction process or in cases when the building/structure has caused or can cause a hazard or a significant harm for life, health, property of the person or environment.
The Regulations by the Cabinet of Ministers No.576 lay down that the Bureau will perform its functions, in accordance with the following plan:
- starting from January 1, 2015 the Bureau assures maintenance supervision of public buildings.
- starting from July 1, 2015 the Bureau assures state control of construction works and commissioning of buildings/ structures of public significance.
- starting from January 1, 2016 the Bureau assures competence assessment of construction specialists and supervision of individual practice in the specialty of construction expertise.
